Tara and other orchestral musicians entered videos of their performances of the Foo Fighters' song, "The Pretender," and the videos were posted on YouTube for public voting.

Voting for the winner began Monday, February 4 and ends at 8:59 p.m. Sunday, February 10, on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/mygrammymoment and by text messages sent from 3:01 a.m. to 8:59 p.m. Sunday. A maximum of 10 text messages to 81818 may be sent from one phone number.

Tara plays in the Akron Symphony and also in an indie rock band called The Unstaring See, which has appeared at the Beachland Ballroom and the Grog Shop. She's also appeared with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Josh Grobin, Kanye West, Barry Manilow and Smokey Robinson.

As of Thursday afternoon, February 7, her video was in second place with 95,291 votes. The winner won't be announced until shortly before the performance.

 

Klein teaches at five music schools, including The Avon School of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Music preparatory department, Beck Center for the Arts, Fairmount Center for the Arts and Fairmount School of Music. A Michigan native, she studied at the University of Michigan, the University of Miami, and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
