AFM is the largest organization in the world representing the interests of professional musicians. AFM negotiates fair agreements, protects ownership of recorded music, secures benefits such as health care and pension, and lobbies our legislators.
- American Symphony Orchestra League
The American Symphony Orchestra League provides leadership and service to American orchestras while communicating to the public the value and importance of orchestras and the music they perform.

- International Conference of Symphony & Opera Musicians (ICSOM)
Founded in 1962, the mission of ICSOM is to promote a better and more rewarding livelihood for the skilled orchestral performer and to enrich the cultural life of our society. ICSOM now represents over 4,000 musicians from the top 51 American Federation of Musician orchestras in the United States and Puerto Rico.
